Welcome to the community of Holy Trinity in Guildford!
We are part of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, within the Deanery of Great Britain and under omophorion of His Eminence Nikitas, Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain.
We are a multinational community which is built on love and care for each other and belongs to one of the oldest Orthodox Patriarchates - Constantinople. Our services conducted in English, Church-Slavonic and Greek and attended by Christians from England, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, Greece, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and many other. We do not represent any particular ethnicity but aim to represent and support the Orthodox Christian tradition for everyone.
We believe that the Scriptures, Sacraments and Traditions of the fathers, as the wisdom selected and collected in the Church throughout the centuries help the faithful to establish their intimate personal and living relationship with God the Father through the faith in our Lord and God Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. |
Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40)
All Christians are welcome at our services and may take prosphora (blessed bread) as well as receive a blessing at the close of the services.
Orthodox Christians may receive the sacraments. After the Liturgy, there is always an opportunity to connect; speak with Fr. Constantine, meet and greet new and existing parish members during refreshments prepared by the parishioners.
We are always delighted to see new faces!
